چکیده
Three isolates of an unclassified, oxidase-negative and citrate-positive, gram-negative bacillus belonging to the family Enterobacteriaceae were studied. With the exception of the citrate reactions, these strains most closely resembled Escherichia coli in their biochemical reactivity.

Unclassified, lactose-fermenting, urease-producing member of the family Enterobacteriaceae resembling Escherichia coli.
Eight strains of an unclassified, oxidase-negative, lactose-fermenting, urease-producing, gram-negative bacillus were isolated from clinical material. With the exception of urease production, the biochemical characteristics of these organisms resembled those of Escherichia coli.
متن کاملCitrate utilization by Corynebacterium glutamicum is controlled by the CitAB two-component system through positive regulation of the citrate transport genes citH and tctCBA.
In this work, the molecular basis of aerobic citrate utilization by the gram-positive bacterium Corynebacterium glutamicum was studied. Genome analysis revealed the presence of two putative citrate transport systems. The permease encoded by citH belongs to the citrate-Mg(2+):H(+)/citrate-Ca(2+):H(+) symporter family, whereas the permease encoded by the tctCBA operon is a member of the tripartit...

Background and Aim: Salmonella Typhi belongs to the family Enterobacteriaceae, gram-negative bacilli and causes gastrointestinal diseases such as typhoid. This bacterium has a special structure and various genes, including the ompf gene (outer membrane protein). Recent studies have shown the possibility of using ompf in the development of a diagnostic tuberculosis vaccine. Therefore, the aim of...
متن کاملThe Escherichia coli citrate carrier CitT: a member of a novel eubacterial transporter family related to the 2-oxoglutarate/malate translocator from spinach chloroplasts.
Under anoxic conditions in the presence of an oxidizable cosubstrate such as glucose or glycerol, Escherichia coli converts citrate to acetate and succinate. Two enzymes are specifically required for the fermentation of the tricarboxylic acid, i.e., a citrate uptake system and citrate lyase. Here we report that the open reading frame (designated citT) located at 13.90 min on the E. coli chromos...
متن کاملبررسی مولکولی وجود ژنهای حدت SHV و TEM در سویههای اشریشیاکلی مقاوم به آنتیبیوتیک جدا شده از نمونههای ادراری شهرستان جیرفت
Background: Escherichia coli (E.coli) bacteria are member of Enterobacteriaceae which are one of the common causes of urinary tract infections. Beta-lactamase enzymes are important factors for antibiotic resistance of beta-lactam family in gram-negative bacteria. According to increasing rate of urinary tract infections due to antibiotic resistant E. coli, the aim of this study was to study the ...
